We are excited to partner with Mobilize Love and City Team to distribute groceries to the residents of Northridge located in the Bayview. We will have a Sozo Church tent set up where residents can stop by and pick up groceries, receive encouragement and prayer. We will also create boxes to deliver to the Senior Adults who are shut in during this time. Over the last few months we have built a strong relationship with Northridge and this is a great time to continue showing the love of Jesus as we serve our community.

In the U.S. one in six people, of all ages, struggle with hunger. Together we can help individuals and families in our community by donating food to our strategic partners.

At Sozo Church, generosity is our privilege!  We are thrilled to be able to provide Thanksgiving meals to families in the Bay Area.

We would love to have you join us this year as we serve our city by providing families with a meal for Thanksgiving.

To participate, please use the shopping list below and drop off the items on Friday, November 20th to 1890 Broadway, San Francisco, CA between 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.

Join us in-person as we watch service and have a moment of worship together as a team! We will start off with updates you don’t want to miss from Pastor Jason at our 9:30am Dream Team Rally, and then kick off service at 10:30am with worship and a message. Whether you are on the Dream Team or interested in joining, we’d love to see you there!

We will be following Covid related health guidelines as outlined by the local and federal government. Masks will be required, and if you or a member of your household are not feeling well please join us online. More information on this will be communicated closer to date.

Race and Privilege: An Overdue Conversation

"We’re Not Really Strangers" is a card game with the intention of empowering meaningful connections with others. The newest edition "Race & Privilege" helps facilitate hard conversations that will provoke us to perceive, connect, and reflect within our own biases.

As a church, we will be exploring the uncomfortable questions through breakout rooms via Zoom. An email with the digital PDF of the cards and a Zoom link will be sent prior to July 27th. Discussion will begin promptly at 6:30 PM. BYOD (Bring Your Own Dinner) is highly encouraged due to the length of the discussion time.

From the beginning of Sozo Church, we have made it a priority to seek God first in prayer. We do this collectively as a church in January and August through 21 Days of Prayer. These two months are intentional, as they begin new seasons of the year. Together, we faithfully seek God first, trusting in His power alone to create lasting impact in our lives, our church, and our world.

During the January season of 21 Days of Prayer, we encourage fasting as a spiritual next step that can bring clarity and revelation into your life. If you sense God has more for your life, 21 Days of Prayer is a great place to start believing Him for all that He has for you. As you practice seeking Him first, He will move on your behalf like never before. You will start to see the power of prayer impact your relationships, work, family, and every area of your life.

For this reason, we will not be meeting at James Lick Middle School for service on Sunday, December 29th. Instead, we invite you to have church that morning in your own home. Gather your friends and family around your coffee table in your PJ’s and make sure you check out Sozo at Home — a special pre-recorded service with amazing worship and an encouraging word from Pastor Jason.

We love being a part of the Noe Valley Farmer’s Market which gives us the opportunity to provide free coffee, Christmas crafts for kids, hand out Christmas service invitations and get to know the community. We will meet in front of Martha and Bros Coffee on 24th Street.
